VIEWS AROUND THE CASA

A colorful early morning sky through the leaves at dawn.

My constant companion keeps an eye out for birds and wandering cats.

And one of our favorite repeating dinners Judy discovered a recipe for recently.

Smoked paprika shrimp with scallions and garlic.

How's life around your house?

  1. It's good, but there are no simmering smoked paprika shrimp!

  2. Life is just fine, with the exception that a good friend just informed me her husband has rectal cancer. He's suffering, but his prognosis is good.

  3. Always count on a cat to be watchful... when they're not in the midst of a nap.

  4. Outside, the Christmas lights are up, but not plugged in or on timers yet. I have to show some restraint! Inside, I JUST popped an eggplant casserole in the oven from The Vegetarian Epicure cookbook. It requires just about every pot and pan I own, but we always rave that it is worth it. Easily reheated in the oven. Good for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  6. We've been having colorful evening skies. No shrimp, but a homemade pizza was pretty tasty. Half pepperoni/mushroom/onion for Hick, and half BBQ sauce/chicken/onion for me.

  8. I would go for the shrimps anytime: breakfast, lunch and dinner... anytime.

  10. Jeezus, those shrimp. That was unkind of you, fella. Now my dinner does not look so good. Thanks a bunch.

  11. Man - I had a really good dinner, but I could eat about half of those shrimp right now!
